Artificial grass is often the perfect solution to the problem of a tricky lawn. But a tricky lawn can be just one part of a problematic garden! Many of our customers get artificial grass as part of an overall re-design or overhaul of their garden, and its often one of the final steps in achieving low maintenance, stress free perfection.  Here are some of the most common garden problems and a few simple solutions…

NO TIME?

People who live in or around the city often have busy lifestyles and don’t have much time to be pottering about or spend hours tending to flora.

Low maintenance plants: Choose plants that don’t take much to look after. Succulents are extremely easy to take care of as are perennial shrubs.

TOO DARK?

One of the main problems with gardens is darkness – or too much shade. Large trees can block out the sun and neighbouring homes can overshadow the garden.

Feature paving: choose a white or light stone that will reflect light up and into the garden. Or choose a warm coloured stone, like herringbone brick to bring colour into the place.

NO SPACE?

There’s a good chance you don’t have a huge amount of space, if you live in a highly competitive suburban or outer-city area. So be economical with the surfaces and space that you have.

→ Living wall: If you’ve got a free wall or fence perhaps turn it into a living wall by growing plants that will reach high and can be controlled.

NO PURPOSE?

Guilty of having space but not really using it for anything? Maybe you’re not sure what exactly to do with it?

→ An extra room: Think of it as an extension of your home, and with that there is opportunity to turn it into a communal area. Buy some key pieces of furniture so that you can enjoy spending time with others in sunshine. Even a small bench can bring a much needed bit of focus to an area.

NO GROUND?

Perhaps your city space is actually a roof or terrace so there’s not an obvious amount of landscaping or planting you can do. Apart from pots and containers being your best friend have you thought about…

→ Artificial grass: Fake grass can add softness to a hard paved or patio surfaces and give cold spaces the lush garden look. It can be installed almost anywhere and can last as long as 20 years if you take care of it. Our grasses have a product guarantee of 8 or 10 years as a minimum so it can be well worth the investment.
