Trulawn would not be able to function without the hard work of our installers. They work through all sorts of weathers, all year round, sometimes six days a week, and survive almost exclusively on tea and biscuits! They’re a hardworking bunch and our customers often comment on how lovely and professional the lads are so we thought we’d help you get to know them a little better.
First up, and ready for a grilling, is team leader Jonny:
How long have you worked at Trulawn?
“Four and half years.”
What kind of installation is your favourite?
“Definitely Putting Greens. The finish is always impressive and you get a bit more satisfaction out of the work you’ve put in than with your average domestic lawn.”
What’s the best part of being a Trulawn installer?
“Meeting new people, having a laugh with the lads and working outdoors every day. Although maybe not when it’s raining!”
Do you support any teams, have any sporting hobbies?
“Definitely a football fan, Manchester United’s the team (obviously). Apart from that I like a bit of golf and anything you can play indoors. Snooker, pool, darts, basically all the pub sports!”
What’s your ideal weekend?
“Spending time with the family. Any chance to take the boy out with the Mrs is pretty special. I also go out every Friday with the lads to have a beer and curry after work. By that time of the week we definitely think we’ve earned it.”
And finally if you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
“Probably Scotland. I was born there and would love to retire up there one day. The people are friendly and the scenery is amazing. What more could you want?”
