It’s very important when installing artificial grass to make sure that there is a stable draining base underneath. This not only keeps the grass even and secure, but most importantly helps water drain away from the surface, making it the perfect flooded garden solution.
As you can see from this installation in Chingford, our team are installing and compacting aggregate before then adding a layer of grano dust (which you can see beginning to go down in the top right hand corner of the lawn).
These are both porous materials which allow water to soak down and into the ground below. Although there is only between 6-8cm of top earth removed, installing this relatively small amount makes all the difference.
We think you’ll agree the finished lawn looks fantastic. Trulawn Supreme is a very soft grass which goes perfectly against hard landscaping like this lightly coloured stone.
