Artificial Grass Trainee (Cheshire)

Summary

We’re looking for new trainees to learn the skills involved in preparing and fitting an artificial lawn for our Cheshire franchise in Stockport.

This is a physical, outdoor role for people that don’t want to be sitting around in an office or standing still all day long and a great opportunity to learn a trade.

As a member of an installation team you’ll be working on site under the supervision of your Team Leader. You’ll be following their direction so the job is finished to high standard and on time. You don’t need any experience in landscaping, but a hardworking, team attitude is a must.

Suitable candidates will be invited for a trial before a formal job offer is made.

Please note: You will be required to get to the yard at 6.30am weekdays. Starting £10.00 p/hr

Duties

• Follow instruction of your Team Leader and Director.
• Wear correct uniform and PPE at all times.
• Off-load and load materials at the start and end of the day.
• Lift, transport and distribute materials as part of the installation job.
• Assist the Team Leader and other team members in the cutting and fitting of the grass.
• Other tasks involved in site, vehicle, equipment maintenance or as instructed by Operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Full driver’s licence and ability to get to work every morning
• Professional attitude around staff and customers
• Good timekeeping
• Team player

Ideal Skills & Experience

• Artificial grass or landscaping experience.
• Some customer facing experience.
