Kymbrook School, Keysoe

Kymbrook School is a prime example of the wonderful ways you can use artificial grass to improve the grounds of a school, whether through an artificial grass playing field installation, or play area installation.

We installed our Trulawn Prestige in three different areas at Kymbrook; a medium sized play area, a triangular play equipment area and a large playing field which all together made up 660m² of artificial grass.

The two smaller areas were required to help maintain the quality of surfacing around high-footfall areas and the play equipment. With a lot of use, natural grass can wear thin and create bald or muddy patches. These can create a lot of mess and can be less pleasant for the children to play on.

The playing field was an uneven area that lacked grass and was not an ideal place on which to run. As part of the installation process the ground is excavated so that the aggregate sub-base can be laid, which can involve some leveling based on the best course of action and the preference of the client. The team also work to keep as natural looking a camber as possible so that it does not look or feel too artificial to use.

Kymbrook will now have a tidy looking school, but more importantly lots of places the children can happily play!
