Creating a communal area
This garden in Billericay had a complete makeover with paving laid and a pond area created. The owners wanted a surface that would be able to suit this sleek new look and artificial grass was the perfect option. It never grows out and remains evergreen all year round, which is great if you want to create a communal area that you can use at a moment’s notice.
This lawn already had a layer of aggregate compacted, so only a layer of sand needed compacting. We also haunched the area and laid a weed membrane to discourage any weed growth. When the planters are filled in this will become an area to use all year round.
