A modern makeover

What do you do when the kids no longer have use for the trampoline? The family at this property in Shepperton have opted for a modern in-ground trampoline idea.

Transforming the sunken area where the trampoline sat into an attractive fire pit is one of many ways to re-use the area in your garden.

Although the kids might not be using the area for running to and from the trampoline, it’s still very much a communal area. Surrounding it with artificial grass is ideal for keeping these areas tidy and evergreen. The sunken fire pit allows everyone to stay warm during the long summer nights, and keeps the flames away from the gorgeous artificial grass.

They’ve chosen Trulawn Supreme, which is a super soft 37mm grass. This makes a lovely contrast against the hard stone of the fire pit.

Please note: It’s always important to be careful using flames around artificial grass. It is made from plastic and will melt when it comes into contact with extreme temperatures.
