The team came in to completely transform this quiet area at Kanes Hill Primary School in Southampton.
The existing area was a raised area of dirt underneath a canopy of trees and was hardly the most pleasant place to sit on the school grounds.
Artificial grass was a good alternative to getting natural turf because shade can inhibit the growth of natural grass and cause the area to become muddy quite quickly.
Over the course of a couple days the team took out the boards, dug out the area and replaced the edging. The grass now meets the surface of the concrete playground which makes it easier to cross between the grounds.
The new artificial grass has greatly improved the area offering a softer, more colourful and safer place for the kids to use during break and lunch times. It also fits in much better with the surrounding school field, and will take very little to maintain.
