Celebrating Success

The APL Awards were held at The Brewery, London on the 17th March 2017 to celebrate achievements in landscaping over the last year, with projects ranging from under £20,000 to over £500,000 all completed by members of the Association of Professional Landscapers.

It was the first time attending for Trulawn, and there was a lot to look forward to throughout the day. Not only was it a chance to meet the nominees but we were actually there to hand out the award we sponsored. The event got underway with a talk from noted landscape designer Adam Frost who shared his landscaping inspirations and upcoming projects.

We were first up to present our sponsored award for Project Value under £20,000 and it was a pleasure to get the ball rolling. Thankfully there were no Oscar-style envelope mishaps, and the award was rightfully presented by Trulawn Managing Director Ian Parry to Ross from Conquest Hard Landscaping, for his project In the Night Garden. Conquest are a familiar face to Trulawn and very worthy winners, so big congratulations to them from the whole Trulawn team.

The rest of the afternoon went on with many awards handed out to some of the industry’s best landscapers. To see the full list of winners and those who were shortlisted for the awards visit the APL Awards website. The Supreme Winner for 2017 was awarded to Creative Landscape Co., based in Berkshire for their project: Garden for Country Cottage and Barn, South Stoke Oxon. This entry was also the winner of the Overall Design and Build category.

As a company that places a high value on excellent quality work and a dedication to professionalism, it truly was a pleasure for Trulawn to be involved and support this event.  All of the shortlisted entries were smashing examples of these principals and we hope to work with more of the landscapers involved soon.

It’s a great achievement to be recognised by your industry, so huge congratulations to all involved. And good luck to anyone entering this year!
