Party season is just around the corner, with plenty of events coming up where you can use your garden as a space to entertain or celebrate.

With a Trulawn you’ve got a mud free surface to use throughout Autumn and Winter, which will be able to withstand guests and games galore. Here’s just a couple of handy reminders about your lawn so you can party without any worries…

Water worries…

Autumn showers is never a problem for your artificial lawn and bobbing for apples on Halloween is fine as a spill of water here and there should drain right through. However, if you plan on tipping a huge amount of water over the lawn just be aware it might not drain quite as immediately as if it were rain. Food glorious food…

This is true of all lawns, not just a Trulawn, but if you’re serving food in the garden make sure you clear it all up at the end of the party. Leftovers can attract unwelcome guests like foxes, and if they know that they can get a meal at your house then they are likely to keep coming back. If something saucy is spilt, you can easily wash it away with some warm soapy water to prevent a sticky situation.

Fireworks and sparklers…

If you’re a big fan of bonfires, fireworks or sparklers make sure you light these well away from your Trulawn. Just like a barbecue, extreme heat will melt your lovely Trulawn! It’s a good idea to have a bucket of water ready to dispose of sparklers that have gone out, and to pour on the lawn should the remains of any fireworks land on the grass.

Light up your life…

Similar to the previous point, if you’re putting up pre-lit figures (like these reindeer) find out how warm they get before putting them directly on your Trulawn. Prolonged use can cause bulbs to get very hot in some cases, something your Trulawn might not appreciate!

Let it snow…

Snow shouldn’t affect your Trulawn, so if in the rare case we have a white Christmas you should be able to play outside no problem. We would advise in very cold snaps to let the snow melt naturally rather than trying to aid it with salts or de-icers as in rare cases these can affect the drainage.
