Is artificial grass suitable for dogs who like to dig?

Artificial grass is highly durable with a tough backing designed to keep your blades in place, so it is very rage for artificial grass to be damaged by a dog digging artificial grass. More often than not, they enjoy rolling around and sunbathing instead!

If digging is a common habit for your dog, then it might be worth considering putting in a sand box or having some areas of natural earth to allow for this behaviour. Artificial grass is very strong but not indestructible so keep this in mind when transforming your lawn.

We do recommend waiting at least 24 hours before allowing your dog to use the lawn. This allows the adhesive to set properly around the edges of the grass, and along any joins.
