Can Zeolite stop working?
ANSWERTrulawn Zeolite is a rechargeable product, meaning that it returns to ‘like-new’ every time heavy rain washes out the locked in ammonia deep into the ground below.
If odours occur with the use of Zeolite the most common reason would be that it is has reached saturation point. This is most likely to occur in dry periods when there is no heavy rain to recharge the granules.
During the summer when rain may not be forecast for a few weeks a simple hosing will imitate heavy rain and wash the ammonia out as normal.
If odours persist, you may not have enough of the granules distributed in the lawn. The larger the animal, the more granules you will likely need per sqm. The same applies to the number of animals.
