Trulawn are sad to share that our colleague Ashley Close, director of Trulawn Kent, passed away on Saturday 12th August.

Ashley joined Trulawn in 2021 to run a branch of Trulawn located in his hometown of Ashford. Ashley had over twenty years’ experience working in the travel industry but had a strong desire to run his own business after the uncertainty of the pandemic.

Over his time running Trulawn Kent, Ashley completed some large scale school projects, many homeowner transformations and was even involved in helping Rochester Cathedral host a record breaking attempt.

With his drive and enthusiasm, he was an important part of the Trulawn team and will be firmly missed amongst the other franchise owners and within the Trulawn Head Office who worked with him on a daily basis. On working with Ashley, our Franchise Manager Debbie Larkin said, ‘We are saddened of the news that Ashley has passed. Having spoken to Ashley numerous times each day, I will miss his stories of golf trips, and his precious time spent with his son Zach. We had much in common, and he will be greatly missed’.

Ian Parry, Managing Director added, ‘Ashley was an extremely personable guy and was highly thought of by all of us at Trulawn who had the pleasure of working with him. From a personal perspective I always enjoyed conversations with Ashley as we shared interests in particular we liked to discuss the trials and tribulations of supporting Tottenham Hotspur. It goes without saying he will be sorely missed and we offer condolences to all who know Ashley’.

All of Trulawn are devastated by this news and our deepest sympathies go out to his family at this extremely difficult time.
