It’s National Gardening Week as organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). Events are taking place across the country with guided walks throughout the week across a range of stately homes, parks and gardens.
17th April is National Open Gardens Day in which gardens that would normally charge a fee for entry are open to the public free of charge. This includes the wonderful Wisley in Surrey, Hyde Hall in Essex, Rosemoor in North Devon and Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire gardens.
It’s a great opportunity to soak up some ideas and get some inspiration for your own garden. Or maybe encourage some green-fingered activities amongst the family. There’s plenty to see and lots of ways to make your garden an attractive place to enjoy.
If you don’t want to venture out too far why not turn your own garden into a stately home and have a super sophisticated garden party? Dress up, invite round your friends and laugh in the comfort of your own back garden. If you’re looking for refreshment why not fire up the BBQ? Nothing says fine dining like ribs and chicken wings!
Alternatively sometimes what we all need is simply a cup of tea, good book and a bit of peace and quiet. Maybe catch some rays whilst you’re at it! It is officially British Summer Time and with temperatures rising, it’s time to take advantage of the sunshine.
We’re all about enjoyment here at Trulawn whether that be getting stuck into a project or simply relaxing in your garden. Installing artificial grass is great for entertaining because there’s no risk of muddy shoes or heels disappearing in the ground. Or if it’s just the family, it’s an easy way to free up your weekend for fun.
Whatever your plans, enjoy National Gardening Week.
