One of the first things to do if you’re thinking about getting artificial grass is requesting your free samples. It’s the perfect way to get to know the way that fake grass looks and feels and see what it might look like in your garden. The next step is to organise a site visit, or if your surveyor has brought you samples, eagerly await your lawn installation! But what to do with your free samples afterwards? Here are a 10 silly  unusual things you can do with your free sample…

1. Stroke it

And keep on stroking it until your lawn is installed. It’s oddly satisfying, trust me.

2. Pretend that you’re a giant

And the sample is the puny garden of your enemies. You can stamp to your heart’s content.

3. Have a LEGO adventure

And send your LEGO men into the jungle. It’s great for recreating the scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park with the velociraptors in the long grass. You know the one right?

4. Make a doily for your plant pot

And your houseplants will be the prettiest gosh darn house plants in all the land.

5. Give your tatty notebook a new cover

And maybe you’ll be inspired to write the next best novel!

6. Create a coaster for your cat bowl

And easily give it a wash if your cat is a messy eater.

7. Post it through your neighbour’s letterbox

And spread the Trulawn love! It’s less cliche than a bowl of sugar!

8. Use it as a paint canvas

And challenge yourself as an artist. Take a look at the work of Jane Dickson if you think it can’t be done, you won’t believe she paints on fake grass!

9. Fashion it into a toupee

And have an amazing conversation starter. Why have natural when you can have green?! For the bold only.

10. Create a model of your house

And have a lasting reminder of your beloved home, or use it for a super realistic dollhouse!

If you’ve already got your free samples but are on the fence about which grass is the right one for you, then we always recommend placing them on the lawn and looking at them from a distance. That way you can see which one fits in best with your garden. If you’ve got pets, see if they gravitate more towards one than another. And if you want to arrange a site survey give us a call today!
